Cutting side yard and ran over some branches, mower just stopped, blades turning, motor running finebut no forward or reverse. Checked free wheel lever and it is engaged, any ideas.
remove the deck and get under the mower.
Check that the drive belt is still on all the pulleys.
If you refit it and it pops off again then replace the belt they oft get damaged when a branch gets caught in the belt & flicks it off.
