Mower will start and run for about 3 seconds and go dead. It will do this several times. i have replaced the fuel filter. Any suggestions on what to do next. Thanks in advance.

I’m assuming your unit has a fuel pump. With the help of an assistant, remove the fuel line from the carb and insert it into a glass jar. Have your assistant try to start the unit and observe whether fuel is being pumped into the jar. If no fuel or very little, your pump probably needs to be replaced. If no pump, fuel should flow freely into the jar. If not your fuel line is probably clogged.

Fuel flows freely. I placed my hand over the breather, engine cranked and ran as long as I had the air flow blocked. I'm thinking trash in carb now?
