Whats the secret to getting the steering apart underneath the mower in order to change the bad drive belt older model? Thank you:licking:

The secret is draining the fuel and removing the battery then remove the deck ( JD call it mower ) from the tractor.
Now stand it up vertical so you can see everything and work comfortably

and what i forgot is stand it on its bum, not the nose or all the oil will drain into the carb & cylinder causing more grief.
