I have 1 that'd running and usable but seems to have picked up some rope/twine in the BBC.
The blade belt clutch in this one is an older style than the other parts mowers.
I cannot figure out how to disassemble this thing to save my life. The slade has been removed and the center bolt holding the clutch to the crank shaft has been removed but that's as far as I can get.
At this point the newer wagner types come apart in 2 pieces
I believe mine is an older ogura type
Reason for removal is my wife managed to get some steing/twine wrapped into the BBC. It seems to work fine but I'd like to get it out. Where does one get a replacement clutch for these? Any upgrades? I read somewhere about a BBC delete but can't find any further details on it.
Someone please help me out.
Thx

if I remember correctly, the Ogura and the early Warner clutches didn't come apart and were serviced as a unit
I'm with JoeM. I'm pretty sure the BBC is serviced/replaced as a unit. I changed mine a few years back, but honestly can't remember which variation it was. In any case, it came off as a unit. I'll look to see if I can find a DIY instruction for removal and re-installation.
EDIT: I found a technical manual but it's too large (700+ pages) to attach here, even when I remove just the BBC sections and reduce it to 22 pages. I'll try to PM it to you. If I can get it to you, you'll see notes boxed in "RED" (color) that I marked as they're specific to my model.
As for where you're stuck right now, you'll need a bolt to drive into the bottom of the BBC to force it off the motor's output shaft. Scroll down to the page where I made a note that one might need a 14mm x 2.00 x 100mm bolt to remove the BBC - think that's what I needed to do. Anyway, hope this helps and let me know via PM about the grass catcher you have.
