Hi everyone
Last fall I bought a JD 116 in near perfect condition. The decals are all there and not peeling off, All the bearings on the deck are all good, the linkage for the deck, steering and controls show no signs of ware and you still can see the JD part #'s on the belts. Now the seat is not worth a penny and the only thing I had to do is install a electric fuel pump to replace the vacuum fuel pump. I like how much more heavy duty the JD is compared to my Craftsman which is the same size by comparison somewhat anyways.
Someone gave me a JD model 31 cultivator that I want to hook up to my JD 116 which wasn't meant to be mounted too. So I have a new B&S OHC engine that I plan on using as a power plant for the 31 making it all into a trailer or extending the back of the JD. Has anybody done anything like this or can steer me in the right direction on doing a job like this? any ideas? Thanks to all!!
