Jb weld extreme heat paste

Related to higher temp epoxy but unrelated to your problem. Have a Kawasaki FD731V that developed a slight coolant leak at the bottom of the case where there was evidence of a scarcity of case sealant. Little chunks of the sealant had come out. Cleaned everything up, laid down a thin smear of higher temp two part, making sure that the crack was filled with it, then let it cure for 24 hours. Then scuffed up the epoxy to give it some "tooth" and cleaned again. Cut out a patch of stainless woven wire larger than the original application that would provide a 50% wire to hole ratio as a matrix and covered that with another coating of epoxy that entirely encapsulated the wire, allowing to cure for another 24 hours. This is a fairly low temp area rarely seeing more than 170F but was under the exhaust pipe which was wrapped in header blanket to keep the temp low on the matrix from radiational transfer. 180 hours later zero issues, no more leak.
 
So for my machine which is an lt2000 Craftsman it calls for a Husqvarna muffler system so what I did was I bought the JB weld extreme heat paste supposedly it goes up to 1000° f I have no idea what's going to happen I just applied it this morning I'm probably going to wait at least 24 hours but it does apply very easily + hopefully this reduces muffler noise maybe others have had this and it works or it doesn't work I don't know but I'm hoping it will work.

What happen to it can't be cut with a knife?

Just admit our government just lies to us everyday.

Now even after we paid over 14 million dollars for the work we are now fenced off from our own property as tax payers. That pool belongs to all of us taxpayer not just a handful of Washington crooks.

I don't know if I want to claim to be an American citizen anymore; so embarrass by the way things are going now. Just trying to keep my head down to avoid things.

Probably not the best solution but it worked for me: I bought ear mufflers. 😁

It is like the SMSOB yesterday that woke me up dragging a darn blame front tractor bucket on his rental property driveway. I felt like just shooting him especially on a Sunday. A day of rest at least for me as I work 60+ hours a week. I was sound a asleep outside enjoying the cool shade of a tree.
 
MY two cents on JB Weld products. Bought JB weld epoxy "Strongest epoxy made" to repair a plastic tool box cover on my 4200 john deere tractor. Prepped the lid by scrubbing with lacquer thinner to degrease the plastic. Scratched it all up really good with 36 grit sandpaper. Put it on looked good and first time i opened the tool box lid it all came loose from the lid and when I pulled it all off to try something else I found that it was rubbery and not rigid like epoxy is supposed to be. Ended up fiberglassing the lid which is fine now although it looks like frankenstein.
JB WELD IS JUNK IMHO
Gary epoxy is not junk, the fact is you cant glue any plastic with epoxy.
Super glue would work much better or plastic modelers glue.

Sorry but Permatex 5 Minute is a two part epoxy that works on

I know for sure as I bond JD hoods back together with the cream color version. Just they had JD green version.

But it will not work on HDPE plastics. Gas tanks are HDPE plastic. Virtually nothing will as it is chemical resistant.

And the JB Weld version simply does not work on ABS.

Most plastics - EXCEPT polyethylene (HDPE) and polypropylene - CAN be glued. I used regular JB Weld on some plastic parts on my 38-yesr-old backyard spa a couple of years ago, which brought it back to life. Replacement parts had been discontinued decades before, and I could not find a 2-piece nut to replace it. I also epoxied a leak in its plastic flow switch housing, but for that I could've engineered a workaround.
