Does anyone know the torque for the top spindle nuts (5025405, 3/4-16 Hex) #8 on attached diagram for ISX2200 Mfg. No: 5901845 ISX2200 Series w/ 61" ICD Mower Deck? Or just use the standard torque formula?

When spec is not present we use the standard specs. In this case the 3/4-16 grade 8 nut is torque to 35 ft/lbs [420 in/lbs] per the chart that is in the IPL.

Thanks, I was able to remove nut and spacers, however, pulley is a different story. It seems to have a slot for a "key" but I don't see one. Will I have to get some sort of puller to remove the pulley? (ISX2200 Mfg. No: 5901845 ISX2200 Series w/ 61" ICD Mower Deck) posted photo

I have had some pulleys so tight I destroyed them getting them off. Had to order new pulleys. Ever since, I use axle lube on the spindle shaft and have never had problems getting the pulleys off after that.

I've seen heat applied in the wrong location so many times it's pathetic . Example : heat applied where it's stuck at the hub . Wrong because the outer diameter hasn't expanded . Heat the outer diameter and the hub will be drawn from the shaft . It makes no difference ; that pulley or a bull wheel that weighs a few hundred .

I use an impact wrench to tighten the nut, but not excessively. Had problems doing it with a breaker bar or ratchet. Also, there is a key. I have destroyed pulleys getting them off, and the dealer told they have had that same problem. Once I get them off, whether I can reuse one or a new one, I lube the shaft and pulley with axle grease. I never have another problem getting the pulleys off.
