Hi, looking for some help with my Ferris IS1500Z. Its got the 25HP Kawasaki engine. I was cutting some fairly thick grass and the motor cut out (discharge chute clogged up/motor bogged down). Anyway I went to restart the mower and all I get is a buzzing/clicking from the solenoid. I checked the battery and it seems fine at 12.5V, and it had been starting just fine prior to this. I replaced the solenoid and it didn't help. I also tried testing the starter by touching the positive cable directly to the terminal on the starter motor (bypass the solenoid) but all it did was arc a little; the starter didn't turn at all but I'm not sure if I was doing it right. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Did you disengage the mower? Are you sure you're using all the correct starting safety proceedures? Can you spin the engine over by hand? Remove the starter and bench test it. gregjo1948
