I have a Snapper tractor with a B&S model 287707 0228 01
The battery is not charging. I'm measuring 12.6 volts DC at the batter with the tractor running AND I'm mesuring 26 volts AC at the battery. Does the fact that I am seeing AC voltage at the battery mean I have a bad regulator?
I looked up the regulator, part number is 794360 (replaces 691188). When I search for this part I'm finding prices ranging from $17 to $47. Is this a case of you get what you pay for or will they all work fine?
