I am not having an issue with the way it runs, I just want to turn off the lights.
is there a reason that the lights are on all the time?

So brain dead Americans will know the mower is on .
You will find some where down the track they got sued by an idiot who managed to injure himself ( and it is always a he ).

Part of the issue is they are too cheap to put an off switch on the dash. The other issue is the early mow in reverse systems were wired through the headlights circuit and would not operate if the headlights were disconnected or burnt out.

Women are just as stupid at times like the one wearing headphone that drove out into the street and turn around while me and another was meeting (passing each other). We both nearly nailed her. Two sets of nice black marks were left.
