was sweeping my garage floor after going through the carb on the below husky with the below briggs intek twin. found the below red oring on the floor, no idea what its off of. does it look like anything off the carb? I took the linkages, carb bowl, float, needle, plastic fuel transfer tower apart. i did not remove the main jets or the fuel solenoid. i know the oring between the float bowl and transfer tower is present.

Bert is correct, it is a float needle seat for a Briggs carb.

That's too big for a Briggs seat... I don't ever remember seeing a red O ring in a V twin kit......

It does look like the o ring that goes in the bowl on the transfer tube though...........

I take that back too small for a that oring I was talking about... I'll have to open a kit and put a seat on my finger nail to see.........

Ok I tore a kit apart and put in on my nail.. Nope it's not a briggs seat you got.... I put it in the same position as his...

My nail looks a lil smaller than his...... My seat doesn't even get close to the middle of my nail.....

Mopar's is over halfway his nail.......

I can make a video and post it if y'll want me too,,,,,,,,,

the red oring is .300” dia x .060” thick. all these rings/seals in the below link are accounted for in the nikki twin carb i worked on. is it safe to say the red oring didnt come out of the nikki twin carb? thats all i care about.

That's a Nikki chinese knock off... I never seen a red o ring or any o ring like that in a Nikki carb.... Maybe a part on the outside of the carb for that Snow Blower application ........

My buddy Johnny Best is here and he is a mechanic for over 40 years and agrees it's not a Briggs seat........

Mystery still not solved.... Scooby Doo where are you ?????? LOL..........

Scooby Doo is in the library reading the IPL's for your mower looking for an O ring.
After that he will look at the IPL for whatever else has been pulled apart recently.
But then again Scooby is only a dog.

If everything is running well on both units then you are in good shape........ Save that red O ring just in case.......

Yep we try to laugh on here sometimes ~!~!

But not too often as Aussie humour & USA humour can be poles apart.
