Greetings All

My name is Doug and I have a Craftsman Pro Series 24HP 46" deck (Model 247.204420). I was trying to find information on making repairs on this thing. Nothing specific right now, but there's nothing for repairs at Sears. Just looking right now. That's how I ran into this site.

Thanks

Google MTD 700 series service manual.
You will find a lot of them on the web.
MTD made the mower so apart from the hood and the thinner metal it is the same as a Troybuilt from the previous year.

IF you're not on here ......you certainly are !! ( LOL ) :welcome:

I guess I was HUA. I was introducing myself and when I submitted the post I saw I was in the wrong place and deleted it but then had to enter at least 3 letters. I should have said, OOPS I'm in the wrong place. What kind of engine do you have on you mower in your avatar?

AVATAR

It's not my mower, found the pic in an on=line car show. There was no info. about it, so I'm in the dark about it. When you enlarge the picture you can tell its a Ford , big block I would guess. Sorry that's all I know ... I thought it was an eye grabber so I confiscated the pic !!! Best to ya .....Boobala ........

It definitely caught my eye. It didn't look like the typical engine. It would take a lot of gas to mow a big yard with that,LOL.
