Hi there, I am being badgered by LMF admin to "introduce" myself, so ...
Even though I reside on the east coast of Australia (20km Byron Bay!), mowing is an international pursuit and I can see this forum will be useful.
I studied Architecture in college and practiced that for 20 years (curiously with all that practice I never got to be 'perfect'!!?). After that I took up carpentry and still do a bit, but it's mowing (etc) that currently takes my fancy.
I work at a local golf course, start at 6.00 and finish at 2.00. I only mention that because it means I have 3 hrs of light left (in summer that expands to 5hrs, which coincides with the peak growing season!) to do even more mowing ... which gets us up to the present, and my current project. Starting a mowing contracting business!
To which end I have been shopping, this is the list to date ... 21" self-propelled Honda mower, Honda brushcutter, Makita Blower/Vac and chainsaw, and have just ordered a Toro MX4260 w mulching kit. This particular model is not available locally, so I'm buying from an outfit that imports from your neck-of-the-woods ... fingers crossed on that one! Graphic Designer engaged and working on the name/logo as I type. Will post the results ... I know you're all just hangin' for that one!
Well that's it for now, keep up the good work and remember "Only nothing lasts!"
