I just use lights that run off of separate batteries, almost like bike lights, because I find it easier. I have the one in the link, but it will only work on a horizontal or vertical handle because if you try to put it in the sideways position on a 45 degree angle handle, it won't face the right way.

I have an FH451V which is electric start and has a charging system (stator with voltage regulator). According to the service manual for your engine, the FB460V is available with electric start as well but if you don't have electric start, not sure how you would know if there is a charging system unless you could locate the voltage regulator or find wiring coming from the area under the cooling fan/flywheel at the pull starter. It's possible they built them all the same and it is just lacking the elecric starter, battery, and wiring. You'll probably have to pull the outer plastic housing off as well to see but you should be able to tell without removing the flywheel itself.

Here is a link to a manual for the FB460V. Page 66 shows the charging system and it appears to show the voltage regulator mounted on the side of the engine. This manual should have everything you've ever wanted to know about that engine and more.

If you are able to add lights, I'd suggest LED's since they aren't that much more expensive and they won't draw much current.
