This 2012 212 engine will start and run but only if I keep the choke pulled all the way out, (full on choke setting). Once running the unit runs steady then spits occasionally which I expect is a misfire. The choke will eventually start to creep down via vibration. When that happens the engine slows, sputters and dies. I can keep it running longer with a pair of vice grips on the pull shaft of the choke control, to prevent it from moving down (to an open position). I thought perhaps I had shut off the gas feed when I put it away last fall, but I can't find a gas line shut off on the engine. The tank was empty when I brought it up from the basement so I filled the tank with regular non-ethanol gas. That was unintended but I didn't think the type of gas was causing the problem. Any suggestions about what I might need to check? Thanks in advance for any help. Oil is up to proper level as far as I can tell.
