Ignition switch broke on 102 cub and I didn't have one. So I took one off old craftsman and it has 5 plugs and old one has 3. I jumped the wires and put battery on B and start on s and put ignition on L . It will crank over but only fire when when you let off starter. What am I doing wrong or will this not work? Thanks joey!
First of all I agree with Mechanic Mark, buy the right switch. The battery and starter wires are OK. Its the wire you got hooked up to the coil is wrong. You need no power there what so ever for the mower to run and negative power there to turn off your mower.
