My Tecumseh HH100 has failed me for the first time in 30+ years.
I went to split some wood and she was having nothing to do with it.
The ignition coil failed but fortunately was able to use the one on my 12hp Sears Suburban.
Used coil prices are ridiculous at $199.
Does anyone know of a replacement or mod to use currently available coils?
I bought this engine new and it has had the best of care and I'd hate to replace it because of the coil.
Any help here would be appreciated.
Thanks

I see one on E-bay for 100 dollars. Even at 200 dollars it has to be a lot cheaper then buying a new wood splitter, but then I don't know the condition of your wood splitter. 30 years old it has to pay for its self see they get 75 dollars for a cord of wood here in upper NY.

Please post the spec number for your HH100. I don't know of any Tecumseh coil that costs $200.
