Hi All, Vtwin will not shut down, if I ground out each coil it will shut down, replaced diode string, soldered connections to coils as they seemed a bit loose, still no Joy, diodes test OK with Fluke meter diode setting.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Geo
Could be a problem with the equipment wiring, or key switch is faulty or the key switch isn't grounded allowing the coils to ground.

And I do know of one case where the OEM harness had the diodes backwards. According to wiring schematic the cathodes goes toward the coils with the anodes tied together.
Sometime later this year I will get a chance to experiment with the reversing of the diodes myself when I make up a few harnesses. really want to answer a question I have here myself.

Thanks, I am about to double check the diodes although 2 sets seem to do the same thing, when I ground the coils out it will shut down, I am about make my own setup.

After I built my own string of diodes , the circuit worked perfectly, after inspecting the new factory string I noticed that the first diode inline from the ground terminal was in backwards.
