I Need a Simplicity Broadmoor Deck.

I have a 40" 2005 Simplicity Broadmoor. The deck has rusted and I have not been able to source a replacement.

I was wondering. Given that the deck simply :
1) hitches to a metal bracket on the underside of the tractor
2 and the PTO bely wraps around the POT wheel
3) and the long arm of the deck attaches to a bracket on the underside of the bonnet at the front of the tractor

could I buy a replacement Simplicity deck on the assumption that they are mounted in the same way?
Or, if a I bought a 2nd hand Simplicity with a less worn deck and (I cannpot find a 40" deck) say - a 42" or a 44" - would either fit onto my tractor?

Do anyone think either of these options would work. I hope some-one out there may be able to advise.

If all you need is a new deck and can swap the parts yourself, a new deck is available. Do a google search “ Simplicity 1686978 deck” as they are available at a wide variety of prices.

I did what you said and found some companies that had the part - but they don't ship to UK and I certainly cannot find anyone in UK who has this part - nor anyone who can "custom" make one.

Some Snapper mowers use the same deck shell. It may be worth looking into.
