Well, congratulations and welcome to the forum.

Gotta wonder here, if you just retired from the business, are you now a member here because you now have free time to sit at a computer, or do you already miss your former career?

I retired 8 years ago as the lead carpenter/handyman/delivery driver/planner/warehouseman/troubleshooter fror a huge government agency, and a lot of days now I wonder..."how did I manage to get anything for ME done when I was working full time?"

Congrats again, and I am sure you will have PLENTY to contribute here, with all your experience and "free time" ....

During those 34 years did you send your blades out to a professional to have them cleaned, sharpened and balanced?

I sharpened the blades myself, using a 7 inch angle grinder and clamped the blade in a vice

Welcome to the forum Terry. Isn't retirement just grand! I'm sure you'll have some interesting tales to tell from your many years of working with lawn equipment.
