I am unable to remove the pulley from the shaft after removing the nut. This does not look like any pulleys I have seen in videos. There's a single nut, nothing else. I've tried tapping with heat. I am trying to remove the center section. Help!!! Thank you!!

first are you trying to use a harmonic balancer puller as that what you need to be using here. The shaft itself is splined and might be rusted in place. May end up cutting it off.
Second that appears to be a pulley the the mower OEM is using and not one from Hydro Gear so with it already damaged you going to need get one from them and not Hydro Gear though it might be a very old design and Hydro Gear design it years ago,
My go to for all pressed metal pulleys is to put a bearing separator under the boss then a long pair of legs so I can bear down on the shaft
Using an impact driver also helps a lot .

The pulley already has three puller bolt holes threaded from the image and depending the puller he might be able to use the three holes closest to the hub to pull to pulley once they are threaded.
