Both 60" SD decks and 35HP engines....

time to replace a tired machine this spring....looking at the 2 models above....
could use some opinions from people using these machines

like Hustlers warranty and Kawasaki 35hp...Lazer Z using a Kohler engine and RED technology (is this RED stuff tried and true?)

has the VX4 deck on Hustler eliminated the clumping problem I keep reading about on their older XR7?? deck

thanks for any advise!

No personal experience between the two machines, but both are good manufacturers. However, I would go for the Hustler on account of the engine. Kawasaki is better than the Kohler. RED technology is fairly new. Go with the tried and true.

I would look into the Gravely and Toro zero turns. I love mine.

Both have ROPS.

I would demo both if I were you.

If you decide on Hustler, I would get the flex forks and the air filled front caster wheels.
