Hustler Raptor tensioner spring keeps breaking

Hello to all--I have a Hustler Raptor that stopped moving forward or back last week. Found the tensioner spring was broken at one end, allowing the belt to loosen. Ordered a new spring, put out on today, mower worked fine. Made about 6 passes in the yard and it stopped once again. Second spring broken same way! Anyone know why this might keep happening? The mower is 4 years old and serviced regularly--this problem came out of nowhere, so any advice would be welcome. Thanks!

OEM springs? Frozen belt pulley/s with bad bearings?

Everything seems to be alright, although drive belt is original so maybe needs replacement?

Where does the spring keep on breaking ?
Every now & then a bad batch of springs ends up on the market .

First time it broke at the hook that goes to the pulley, the second time it broke at the hook that goes around the bolt..

Did you figure out what was causing this? Mine just started doing the same thing
