have a hustler super z 30 hp kolher. runs for 10 minutes blades engaged or not. will start right up then lose power after 10 minutes have to pull choke up to keep running. Brought to shop and they replaced all fuel lines and filters, fuel pump and cleaned carb. Said rebuild was not needed. Brought home and ran good for 20 minutes. Brought back and they cleaned carb again. They said they let it run for an hour and didn't have problem. When I first brought it in it acted up and they good only keep it running with choke pulled. Mower is 2007 with 151 hours. Only used for home with 2 acres. First 6-7 years never a problem.

Any help will be appreciated

yes they tried and I tried when started to die I pull the cap off and nothing happens, I pull the choke to keep running and sometimes its starts to run good again without shutting down., also fuel filter is full when engine started, after a minute or so the filter is almost empty with a small amount of fuel coming in with bubbles. U can see the gas in the filter being sucked out of the paper then fuel being pulled in again. The original filter was always full. The tech where I have it so called repaired said some run this way after I told him the original had always stayed full?

thank you

Did they clean the tanks and fit the correct micron filter? Obviously if choke keeps it running you have fuel deficit issues. They replaced everything to combat the issue...but I'd chek it's OEM filter. Seems like the carb needs more attention.

I am going with trash in the tank stopping the gas getting into the line.

thanks

Also I noticed tonight machine runs fine until you make fast turn or going uphill as my land is not level as it goes down to a lake. Also noticed that if u hit a bump the mower stumbles , then recovers. Do u think that once I or it turns off the debris falls from the tank filter and then once running again it sucks up to filter?

Filter in tank matches the original in the other tank. We only use one side as I don't want gas sitting on one side and it keeps me using new fuel. Had bad gas once before and had to have tanks cleaned and carb cleaned.

Should gas filter be full at all times?

thanks
Dave
