Husqvarna Z4822

I am having a problem setting the mower deck on a Z4822, the deck will not raise high enough and hold at a level position. It's not the raising pedal area part, that latches fine. Someone in the past welded the rear raisng brackets on the deck itself and I suspect they didn't put them in the exact position they should be in. I am trying to understand what the front rods do and what their lenght has to to in relationship to the rear lifting rods. If I lenghten the front rods does that push the deck back to raise the back of the deck? So, what is the way to raise the whole deck, lenghten the rods in front or shorten them? Then what about the rear rods, lenghten or shorten! I expect if I lenghten them I will have to either make new rods or cut, thead and add a coupling nut to make it longer. Thanks,Budd
