my Husqvarna yf18542 barely moves in reverse. it has the foot pedal but had this problem ever since I bought it brand new. is their an adjustment somewhere on the transmission?
sorry that is a yta 18542 not a yf. I had this problem since it was brand new. Had lowes take and service it but brought it back in the same condition. it will back up extrmemely slow on level ground but the slightest incline makes it stop. Goes great in forward.
Does it go better if you pull the the forward pedal up to make it go backwards ?
\If so you need to build up the reverse side of the pedal.
The set up AYP use is rubbish & I have needed to weld an extension to several of them to make them sit higher above the foot board.
