My Husqvarna RZ 5426 will slow way down or come to a complete stop on hill and when making turns. The more you push the controls forward the slower it runs.
Anyone know what I need to do to fix it.....RD

Sounds very much like the drive belt is slipping.
Check the belt and the tensioning pulley and it's spring.

The Husqvarna RZ 5426 does not have a drive belt. Has 2 hydraulic pumps, one for eacj =h wheel. Mine is doing the same thing and I am also looking for an answer.

So what causes the hydraulic pumps to turn ?
Hydro DRIVE belts cop a beating from debris thrown up by the deck.
They often jump off & sit between the fan & the pulley so they look & fell like they are properly positioned.
No one ever bothers to lubricate the tension arm pivot so it freezes and allows the belt to slip.
Even fewer people bother to clean the exterior of the hydros so they overheat & cook the oil then cut errosion paths so the oil flows out the sides of the valve plate rather than flowing through the pistons.

Sorry, you are absolutely correct. I just wasn't thinking. I have a new belt ordered. THe spring and the idler pulley looks OK, but I will inspect when I change belts. THanks for your comments.
