I'm a newbie with a problem, it doesn't matter what i do i cannot get the kohler courage on my husqvarna to run properly. The carb has been rebuilt everything has been set up as per kohler service manual but it makes no power and barely idles. The throttle has no effect whatsoever. The float is not sticking as it doesn't seem to be flooding. Am i missing something obvious?
I would be grateful for any ideas
Ian
This is just a thought and I haven't seen it on the courage but have on more than one briggs. Is the camshaft fully opening the valves. I have seen it on more than one briggs were the lobes on the cam wear down and not open the valves and it acts like the throttle isn't opening. the short open valve sequence acts like a governor. the other question, is the governor opening the throttle.
the camshaft problem that I saw was the throttle butterfly was in the full wide open position but would only run about 1/2 throttle.

I was going to say start with a valve adjustment, but I see the post before me said check foe a worn cam which you can do both things at the same time.
Thank you for the suggestions, I will look into both, tbh not been very impressed with this mower very tempermental and the spares expensive, can't beat a good briggs engine, maybe i could change it.......
