Looking for some repair direction. My riding mower won't start normally. I can start it by shorting the connections on the starter solenoid but, not with the key. I just replaced the starter solendoid and the key switch assembly and the problem didn't change. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Go to Husqvarna and download your parts manual
The first page should be the wiring diagram
Note that between the key switch & the solenoid there is a PTO switch & a clutch/brake switch
I usually pull the pugs & short the terminals that are supposed to be connected with short jumpers
If yiu do the B & S first then when the starter cranks you have found the bad switch
OR if you no patience just replace both & hope it is not a broken wire between the switches
Note also the black ground wire on the solenoid .

Also can be simply a blown fuse depending if the OP hears the fuel solenoid clicking or not when he turns the ignition to run position from off. But there would be a reason for a blown fuse.
