Which mower did you end up going with?
After donating My 20plus year old Honda to my son as an addition to his new home, I'm now having buyers regret [ givers ]. My Honda NEVER had one single problem of any type. Being in the P.E. biz my whole life, I maintained it meticulously, using Sta-bil before we even had Ethanol fuels, then switching to the appropriate Ethanol fuel treatments. My new mower is a 800 AWD Husqvarna & I opted for the Honda motor, of course.Kinda wish I had My old Honda back. While I feel the Husky is a quality unit, It has some shortcomings. It Does not mulch anywhere near as cleanly as My old Honda did.To the point that you Must mow more frequently at a lesser cutting height. Not because of power, just leaving clumps behind. I also feel the feed chute size is Too small for efficient bagging. Engine performance is flawless [ I.E. , opt for the Honda engine, not the B&S outta China.]. The wheel height adjusters are quite easy to use . I further like the redundant drive controls, very thoughtful. You can use either right, left or both. Handy when avoiding bush & other things without stopping. Overall, I'd give it a 4.5 outta 5 on a rating. Certainly compared to what a comparable Honda would have cost with the same features. In my area, the Honda would have cost an additional 175-200 $. Granted, it would have had the indestructable Plastic [ or whatever the composite material it is ] To do it over again, I'd still buy the Husky. While the Toro AWD is also a great choice, the transmission is more complex, leading to additional costs for long time ownership. But, a worthy choice as well. Sgt Rudz./USMC
