Refurbed 150bt for 199 shipped. Is it worth it? Wish they had the 350bt but they don't. It isn't commercial quality but then I won't be using it 8hr a day 5 days a week.
Thanks Ric :thumbsup:For home owner use it may be ok, I wouldn't try using it commercially. I personally stay away from refurbished stuff but that's just me. If it's worth it or not depends on whether or not your willing to take the chance and pay that price. Just be aware of the spec's because the ones Husqvarna give are housing cfm's and velocity's not tube volumes and velocity's so it's not as strong as you may think.
Thanks Ric
They list the true specs at some sites. Something like 500cfm at the nozzle. That's plenty for me. I think Lowes and other stores list it at over 700cfm and 240mph? As long as something is factory refurbed I don't have a problem with it. It's like buying used but with a return policy. You're always taking a chance anytime you buy something. I'm not concerned about the quality... I think that will be fine. I'm just not sure if the price is good enough. At this point it isn't cost effective to spend more than 200 so this is about as good as it gets for me.
I have a 150bt it is a nice blower with plenty of power for blowing wet leaves.
I know... it was too heavy for the PO's wife to use lol. So you like it? Just for the record I don't pay any attention to reviews whether they are on Lowes, HD, Amazon, or one of the online equipment stores. There are some really not very bright people writing most of those reviews and the Q&A sections too. I read the Q&A at Lowes for this blower. One question had 9 answers... all wrongRetail price and MSRP are all over the place too. I saw refurbs going for 299 and I saw new ones at the same price. MSRP was anything from around $330 up to $520.
I like it runs nice and smooth.
Only thing I do not like is the primer bulb is under the carb and I just know some day I will pull the fuel lines off try to get to the bulb. It starts every time on the second pull. Even after It was covered in snow.
My wife thought it would be to heavy for her but she loves using it.
I would pay $300 for it.
It's good she likes it.... even better that you like itI like it runs nice and smooth.

I guess the Husqy site would be more believable than the other sites. With a 299 msrp 200 doesn't look like the great deal it does on the store sites claiming 399 to 500 msrp tho lol. Seems like a good blower for the price. I still like that little Hitachi handheld I bought. The MSRP is $299.95 on there site, there power and cfm is similair to the Stihl 430.
It's good she likes it.... even better that you like itI've read the cushion is really good. I think I'll go for it. There's a CL ad for a new one at a pawn shop for 225. Kinda leery about that deal though. Maybe one of those people that buy store returns pawned it. I got something similar about pawn shops as Ric has for refurbs.
