Randomly my 128LD which is a couple years old started to bog down when cutting. Then it just wouldn't run.

Bought a new carb, installed it along with fuel line, filter and spark plug.

Started, would idle with some tweaking and die if you gave it throttle.

Tweaked the set screws a bit more for the hi/low and idle. Now it wont start at all.

Put new gas in as well, 93 octane.

Im lost :/

Check the muffler for obstruction.
In fact take it right off and have a good look at the piston & bore.
If gouged then it is toss time .
Set the carb back to the original settings and try to start without the muffler ( very loud ).

Looks clean with muffler off.

Won’t start with muffler off either.

Checked the spark plug, it’s firing fine.

Should i just go buy a new one? Doesn’t seem worth hours of time.

Another thing to note is there was a lot of oily buildup on the spark arrestor and muffler in general. I’m guessing that’s just fuel that isn’t igniting from trying to start it 100 times.
