Have a bolt that won't come loose so that I can replace the recoil assembly and I would like to know what this part is called so that I can order a new one! Thanks for any help!

Three components.

Flange Nut 6mm
Collar
Stud 42.5 mm

IF the nut is spinning just keep loosening until the stud comes loose. Then disassemble the assembly. Either that or use a nut splitter.

Disassembled and still can't get the but to break loose from the stud... Even with wrenches...Was about to cut it off and order a new part but can't figure out what it's called... Thanks

I would use some anti-sieze on the threads. Course this is probably the first time the engine cover is coming off.

Stop using impact guns too. These are not 18 wheeler lug nuts guys. Simple 1/4 inch ratchet and your left hand is all you need.

I got the mower as a hand me down and I sprayed it with wd-40 and used a 10mm ratchet wrench and a pair of channel-locks which was all I had at the time and I couldn't get it to turn... But the guy I got it from was an old man who only used it to get what he couldn't get with his zero turn, so it's probably never been changed and I only had the one bolt that wouldn't come loose... Was just hoping to get a part name so I could just order a new one from Amazon prime! 😆

Generic WD40 won't help with a seized bolt or nut. Use a penetrating oil. Liquid Wrench, PB Blaster, Kroil, Knock'er Loose etc..

Nevermind... I just found out it's called

A fan cover and the only place I have found one cost 80$ so I'm going to try to find a used one! Thanks

one option is to would use a dremel to cut a slot in the bolt, then hold it from turning with a screwdriver while I turned the nut with a wrench. See my next post because It is an easier solution.

The part is a stud that fits KOHLER XT675-3076. If the other two nuts are off, and the top nut won't come off, you may be able to use it to unscrew the stud to get to the underside so you can hold it while you remove the nut. Start by looking up the parts diagram and it will make sense.

IF you post the engine spec and serial number or the mower full model and serial numbers then we could find the PN. Also a lot of the time the red ones are cheaper than the black ones when available.

As for getting the nut off using a pair vise grips and if nothing else twist the shaft in two by turning the nut.
