Just scored one off of CL for $30. It needs a pull start rope and a carb rebuild. I can get it to start for a few seconds but then it stalls. Anyone have any advise on the carb rebuild ??

Even with the non-Honda wheels and the rope start, that's a heck of a deal.
Check these out for information on cleaning the carb on that engine.
removed the carb and opened up the float bowl. Water inside causing rust which blocked the main jet. Cleaned everything and plopped it back on. Started the first pull and run like a tank. Not a puff of smoke and sounded like a monster. I am giving it to a friend for a gift..

Great! Gotta' love it when things go the way they should. It'll make a really good mower for your friend.
I just put an HR214 back together today. Engine was from parts of several engines that have been sitting in a box for months. New rings, cylinder hone, fresh gaskets all around. It started on the first pull too. I really think the HR194s, HR214s, HR195s and HR215s were the finest mowers Honda has ever made.
