My go-to torque wrenches are an old Craftsman flex beam, and a couple modern Tekton split beam.
The split beam is wonderful in that it can be put away with a torque still dialed in. It doesn’t preload a spring.
I've also got one of them old beam type craftsman. I use if when I do not mind if I get the wrench dirty, oily and nasty. I think maybe mine only goes to 150 ft lbs.
What's nice about the clicker dial type is you do not have to watch the scale, just feel/listen for the click.
