Most wheel studs are press in. Remove the old studs with a big hammer and pull the new studs in with a nut and flat washers.

Thanks a lot for the thread here, very useful for me, really. I just got new studs for my mower from the tractortool store. I am going to replace them too. Hope, I'll manage to do it

Maybe help...If like auto studs they are splined to allow you to tighten them after installation. Square them up while drawing them through . Use a spacer on the front side and the wheel nut to tighten and draw them through. Avoid hammering. If the old spline grooves are used and seem loose try rotating the studs slightly and pulling them through new , ungrooved material.
