How to clean electrical.

I have a 2130, I just bought, what is good to clean the grease and grime off electrical components (starter, coil and connectors).

As for myself I buy a can of degreaser, spray engine and electrical parts with degreaser. where heavy grease and dirt I scrub with a brush, then I rince off with water and let dry. When I worked in a big shop we would steam clean the same parts and let dry.
