Depends where you live
Most house plants will survive in places where they do not get any direct sunlight
There are several varieties of "parlor palms " that do well in darkish places .
Most rainforest ground covers or understory plants will grow happily in low light with no direct sun light as the forest canopy prevents this happening .
As for watering , things like maiden hair ferns need to wet nearly all the time while other like to be dryer it will depend upon the plant .

Belated welcome to the forum. There's a lot of good information here but for your questions I suggest you visit a local nursery. They can provide information on your specific area; help you decide what will grow and how to grow it. They can also help with determining what plants go well together, how far apart to plant and how tall they will grow.
That's far too much variance for you to get meaningful advice here.
Once you have basics decided get back here for more help.
