This is a new to me used mower that was supposed to be needing carb work. I got it running and it pulls pretty hard. beyond any natural speed I would mow with unless I was doing long straight cuts.
The base GCV190 engine on Honda's engine site lists the power at 5.1 @ 3,600 rpm, but the HRX mower runs closer to 3,100 rpm. It is, however, tweaked to provide max power at 3,100, so the lawn mower version of the engine on the HRX is probably 5+ horsepower.
Like most modern mower manufacturers, Honda does not publish lawn mower horsepower data. There are too many ways to measure it using a method all companies can agree on, so most agreed years ago to stop. Helps keep
