How do you get paid?

I was just curious on how people that mow lawns get paid? Do you charge for one summer a full price or do you get paid for each time that you go?

I usually have a full price for one summer and I also have some clients that pay me for each time that I come. When it comes to jobs like weeding or landscaping, I charge by the hour.

I charge for each individual service, but I just mail a bill at the beginning of the month.

I do the same. I had some customers that frequently claimed to have "lost" my bill however. I eventually shook loose of these customers and every one that I have now is great at paying me in a timely manner for which I am very thankful and more than willing to extra jobs for them when I come by to mow.

Most leave a check that we collect at the time of service. But now that we have paypal, we have been offering online payment. For those who want it we email them am invoice after service is performed.

Some leave the cash or check in a sandwich bag at a predetermined place like under a certain paver stone or in the gas tank flap of a vehicle. Some just send us a check in the mail after each cut. They do all the same things for me except one-I don't use PayPal.

I do it works well but they charge per transaction so I have to as well I charge a quarter for the first 25 dollars and 50 cents per 25 after that
