I have a OLD Simplicity Roticul De-Lux tiller with a B&S engine. The engine numbers stamped into case don’t match any I can find. They are “81302 943541 6102240”. The magneto/coil is very week. Can actually hold spark plug lead while cranking and very mild shock. I’m looking for a replacement coil but I’m lost. Any help would be appreciated.

081302-9435-41 Date code 6102240

Actually the coil is PN 291617 since this engine before Dec 31, 1962. (621231). It mute point as that is also NLA If the engine has an aluminum block it should take the conversion coil PN 591420. IE: conversion from points to electronic coil.

If it has points, are they gapped and clean? I remember back in those days if the points wore out you didn't really get much spark.
