Hello all, I am working on my daughters JD 135. It has a 22HP vert shaft Briggs. Took the carb off to clean. Found two jets on the work bench after spraying carb out. Do you know if the Briggs manual is detailed enough to show the orientation of these jets? I think they go in the bottom right above the float bowl but not sure. And not sure of the up/down orientation. Any help will be appreciated...........Jay
No the briggs manual assumes you have been to the Briggs training school and are a trained mechanic.
If there is a step in the outside of the jet, the smaller diameter goes in first
If the hole has a chamfer then that will go on the float bowl side ( fuel passes in there first )
If this is a double barrel carb, the jets might be different sizes.
We need the full engine number to give you specific advice.
Model, code & serial because carbs & jets change very regularly
Thanks to that other site I think its OK. One problem, I lost the tiny nylon bushing the governor rod goes through. Any ideas where I can get some?? Thanks..............Jay
