How can i find the model # on a MTD riding mower the tag is gone?

Export threadIn some cases it will narrow down things considerably. I have actually come up with model numbers by using the engine numbers. But sometimes it isn't possible. Post them and I will see what I can do.

If you know the year then you can go to partstrr.com or any of the mower parts companies that subscribe to the ARI sysem like jackssmallengines.com do a parts search uning the parts finder.
Bring up the MTD bit then the year, then either the lawn tractor or garden tract folder and select a few that sound like yours check parts like deck & hood.
I have to do this on a daily basis as we get a lot of US mowers rebadge with a local companies name and no way to find out what I am loking at.
