One of the things I love about winter is the chance to indulge in hot chocolate every evening. Sometimes I add a dash of orange (in the form of alcohol!). How do you serve yours?

What time should I invite myself over...?

Seriously, I try to avoid liquid chocolate and liquid sugars... That way I don't feel too bad when I get the solid forms of both... Love chocolate & candy..MMMmmmmmm! :smile:KennyV

With a dash of cinamon snops.

I love hot chocolate but I do not drink alcohol at all. For me, the joy is in the pure chocolate taste of the beverage. I love it. I'm all out, though, so need to go shopping.

I like it with a dash of chocolate liqueur, nothing tastes better, that and some mini marshmallows! They go together well. I like flavored Hot Chocolates too.

Kenny - see you around 9pm ish  (Oh and you are a strong man to be able to resist liquid goodness!)

I'm not such a fan of the packet mixes as I don't like the sugar that most of them have. I usually make mine from the powder you can buy in a tin.

This sounds too perfect...
No added sugar... (leaving the opportunity for more solid chocolate)...
...Thanks, see you around 9PM ish................ Just not sure what year or day I might be in the UK.

Do you make it with scalded milk and cocoa powder? My Great Gran used to make it in the winter when we would walk over, I miss those days.

I can see the difference. Y'all like that decadent forget the day type of hot chocolate. <g> I'm just glad it's the season so we can all enjoy the beverage however we like it.

We always make hot cocoa when the kids go out sledding, they enjoy it with fresh baked cookies and marshmallows. It just gives me an excuse to make and drink it.
