Honda NeXite deck: Who has one & do U have grass buildup issues

Well I bit the bullet today and replaced my 21 year old HR215SXA Honda for a HRX217HYA. I am a bit skeptical about the NeXiteｮ deck and want to ask others who have this deck how it is for grass clipping build up. I certainly don稚 want to use an air scaler on this deck, and was told by the salesman that I won稚 have any issues with grass build up on the deck.
For those who have this deck do you have issues with grass build up and do you use any coating on the deck to prevent the buildup.

Great to see you got a new honda. Those old hr215s are great and mow well but the new nexite decks mulch so much better and has a cleaner cut. (newer technology) and more hp then hr215. To answer your question, those nexite decks i find easier to clean the decks i use a light psi power washer and for whatever reason it does not stick to the nexite deck like the cast aluminum decks because i feel the pitting on the underside of the cast decks make the grass stick to it a little more and the plastic is so smooth underneath. Also, you could spray a silicone spray for under the deck to keep any type of buildup to a minimum. I would also ask robert@honda who is on the site here about this as he would be the ultimate person to ask as he works for honda and could find out about anything concerning this. Good luck with new mower as you just bought one of the best 21" mower available today.

You will be VERY happy with your new Honda. I have the same mower and I find grass does NOT stick to the underside of the deck. :thumbsup: I do not use a coating.

Ida-Boy, I just found this thread. I searched before creating a similar one last month. I guess I need to improve my search skills.

By now you have had ample opportunity to evaluate the NeXite deck's ability to shed clippings. What's your opinion?
