I have a new troy built mower with a Honda CVG 160 and it starts fine but surges constantly. Only got about 3 or 4 hours on it. When I first got it, it ran perfectly smooth and quiet. Stared surging a while back and I have drained and replaced with fresh gas. Drained the bowl a number of times. If I shake it while it is running it will smooth out for a few seconds and start surging again. Very peculiar. If I hold the governor it runs, accelerates and return to normal speed but still surges. Something I can adjust or take it in for service.
