Working on a friends Honda H4518H with liquid mower that wont run. Turns over great but has no spark at the plugs.
How do you test the CDI module and coil to the plugs?
 
I tried it before I bought it, worked great. Loaded it onto a trailer - then drove it off the trailer at my place then would not start after that. :(
I checked most of the interlock switches, they seem fine. Need to check a "blade switch". I have a very poor copy of electrical system which makes it difficult to read. but working slowly through it.
 
I had exactly the same problem on a friend's mower last year.
There are two modules on the left rear side of the motor. One is not readily available but the other one is. I don't remember the numbers but will look for them later. Got it to run by tapping on the module while cranking the engine over. Started right up.
Replaced the available module and have had no problems since.

expecting i have the same issue. not enough volts coming to the ignition coil, suspect one of the parts at the flywheel. easy enough to see/access the module you tapped on/replaced? Did you get a chance to find the part number? thank you -Scott
