Rectifer heated up and melted wires. Bought new one and installed . After using same thing happened, disconnected battery to save rectifer. What could be causing this.
Sounds like a short somewhere. Here is the electrical wiring and there should be a 25 amp fuse in line with the rectifier in post 15. The diode or coils may have shorted out
