Well at least you were able to find and fix the problem. ?
My Honda GCV160 had gotten to where is would take 10-15 pulls before it would start....a lot of pulls for an old man like me. So I did some research on youtube and found this solution that worked like a charm for me and it now starts on the first pull every time, just like when new. Now, that being said, you might still have a carburetor issue that needs to be addressed, but if your mower has several years on it, it most likely needs the part replaced regardless of any potential carburetor issues. The hard starting issue is addressed in the following youtube clip........https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oodVKUYGyncHello
My honda GVC 160 OHC mower no longer wants to start.
Its been running fine, and now won't start.
If I put a teaspoon of fuel in with the spark it'll run fine for a few seconds, so it looks like a petrol supply problem.
Everything ok up to carburetor, so I guess that leaves the carburetor itself?
Had it apart, and cleaned (it looked clean before), and still wont start.
Any ideas appreciated
Thank, Tom
