Can anyone tell me what would cause my saw to stop cutting ( motor quits) only when I saw horizonally.
Chain saw runs and cuts great Vertical. What should I d0 to get my chain saw to saw horizonally?

Thank You

remove gas cap. empty fuel tank, see if fuel filter is still attached to fuel line, and see if fuel line is broken inside tank.

Agree with Sharier. It's a fuel delivery issue when the saw is horizontal. You have to empty the fuel tank and see what's up with the fuel line and fuel filter.

Please keep us posted. There are a few very remote issues that could also be causing this, but it's a 90 percent probability that it's a fuel deliver issue starting from inside the fuel tank.
